We provide non-medical support for the dying and their loved ones before, during, and after death. Doulas are trained in the various end of life stages and can assist the family with understanding the natural process while providing comfort and support.
An End-of-Life Doula is a companion that will walk closely with you and your support system through the transition process and educate you along the way. During this process we strive to acknowledge your wishes at end of life and assist in carrying them out. Whether you have a support system or you're walking this road alone, I'm here for you!
We understand that it can be hard to maneuver through the world of health care and bereavement services. It can be quite overwhelming! We also understand that being the caregiver for someone who is dying can be emotionally and spiritually draining. An End-of-Life Doula can fill in the gaps in the process of the unknown.
Some services we provide are Companion to the dying and their loved ones, suggested interventions for comfort, respite for the caregiver, support in planning the vigil, legacy building, and so much more. Please see our Services page for more information.

"In January I lost one of my biggest supporters, my grandfather. Since then my depression and anxiety has worsened significantly. Most of the time I feel so lost. I went to him for everything. I reached out to Michelle and she has been helping me through this process. I now feel more hopeful that I will find my way. I have been learning different techniques to center myself in those high anxiety moments."

"She put my mind at ease. When I went through the sudden death of my former husband of 20 yrs and father of my six children due to covid-19, I was devastated and in search of finding answers to the emotional experiences I was having. She offered comfort I didn't know I needed; from the immediate phone call once hearing the news, to holding my hand and walking me and the children to the casket and even going on a drive with me to the beach post funeral.
Michelle never said, what do you need, she just knew what I needed and showed up. Having her there with the simple breathing and emotional processing tips helped me work through months of grieving and I am grateful to have her in the worst days of my life! God's gift to me was Michelle Johnson Peaceful Transitions. I am forever grateful"
